Full-Time Faculty Benefits Information

College-Provided Benefits:

•   Health insurance through Blue Cross/Blue Shield http://www.or.regence.com/OSBA/ which includes medical, dental, vision and prescription coverage. Domestic partner coverage is also available. The College contributes a negotiated premium amount; several coverage options dictate the employee's premium contribution ranging from $73.17, $101.99 or $123.12 per month.

•   The Flexible Spending Account through Blue Cross/Blue Shield http://www.myregence.com/ allows for savings with pre-tax dollars which are earmarked for additional medical expenses, dependent care expenses and the employee's portion of the health insurance premium.

•     Term life insurance through UnumProvident is provided at no cost to the employee equal to one times the employee's annual salary rounded to the next higher $1,000 to a maximum of $50,000.

•   The College provides for long-term disability insurance for full-time employees.  UnumProvident is the insurance carrier.

•     After six months of employment, an Individual Account Program (IAP) is established with the Oregon Public Service Retirement Plan, administered by in the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) http://oregon.gov/PERS/. The College pays the employee’s contribution of six percent of the employee's annual salary.

•     Academic-year holidays include Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving (2), Martin Luther King Day, and Memorial Day.

•     Twelve days of paid sick leave is accrued at the start of each academic year. Sick leave accrues without limit.

•     The College provides a confidential employee assistance program http://www.cascadecenter.com/ which allows five visits to a counselor per calendar year.

•     Sabbatical and Professional Improvement Leaves may be granted to a faculty member when such leave contributes to the goals of the College and enhances the professional competence of the individual. Details are contained in the faculty bargaining agreement. Financial assistance is available.

•     Employees are allowed a 20 percent College Bookstore employee discount on purchases excluding textbooks, electronics, CD's, videos, pop, and candy. (Spouses and children are not allowed a discount.)

•     Employees, spouses, domestic partners and child(ren) to the age of 25 shall be allowed to enroll as either a part-time or full-time student free of tuition cost.

 Additional Voluntary Benefits
